As part of our ongoing commitment to encourage patient participation in NHS cancer screening programmes, our team has arranged a Breast Health Awareness Event at the Ordnance Unity Centre Library.

As with all cancers, early detection and treatment significantly increase the chances of survival so it is important that patients attend breast screening appointments when they are invited.
As part of this event, colleagues from the NHS Breast Screening Service will also be present. They will be advising on:
- reducing breast cancer risks
- breast/chest awareness tips
- what to expect at a breast screening appointment
- supporting you to book your appointment on the day (screening will not be at the library)
