Changes to General Practice

Following the Government’s recommendations for all GP practices to change their appointment systems to improve patient access to healthcare, your appointment requests will be processed differently.

Patients will be directed to self-care or community pharmacies and other NHS services where appropriate, while those requiring further assessment will be offered either a telephone or face-to-face appointment with a Doctor, Nurse or Pharmacist.

Please provide as much detail as possible in your appointment request so that we can ensure you are directed to the most suitable service or given appropriate advice.

Please use the ‘Right Service’ guide below if you need help identifying the most appropriate service for your needs.

Please respect our staff—aggressive, abusive, or inappropriate behaviour will result in removal from the practice.
